With a career 19 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.9 spg stat line, Micheal Wilson showed out for our program. The standout managed a career high of 43 points and reached the 40 point plateau 5 times while in the program. After his Senior season of 22.7 ppg, NBA scouts were forced to take notice and he was blessed enough to be selected as the 3rd pick of the second round of the 2029 NBA draft! He has opened the doors for players in the program moving toward the future. He will soon be inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame due to unprecedented achievements!!!

The Saint Rose Golden Knights Men’s basketball team has accomplished a tremendous achievement this week as they were named the #1 team in the country. Led by a dominant Center in Demarco Perkins and a balanced attack that is strong at all three levels, the team has soared past preseason expectations. Their hard work and commitment to each other as a family will never be forgotten after being placed as the team to beat in the country for the first time! As the director of the basketball program at Saint Rose, I’d like to say, “Keep working hard, expect the unexpected, and handle adversity.” Good luck the rest of the way, men!

Making all-conference is no easy feat and after a 36 loss season, I was sure that none of my players would receive the recognition necessary to make the team. I was pleasantly surprised to see Neal and Roger make the team! They played their hearts out for the team this season and we’re rightfully rewarded for their efforts. Good luck in their careers moving forward, whether they take their talents overseas or are able to make an NBA team as an undrafted free agent. Based on their skill sets and not their overall strength, each player can contribute to a team from of the the bench at the professional level!
