North Florida and ndray01 have found their new head coach, Tad Wood, who will be tasked with bringing a winning culture to the Ospreys.

Coach Wood has found success as an assistant coach at D2 and D1 programs, where he won multiple conference championships. He will be looking to continue that success at North Florida.

Coach Wood is a defensive-minded coach who seems to maximize his players’ potential. This will help the Ospreys development since it will be difficult to secure top talent.

Time will tell, but the Ospreys seem to be headed in the right direction. May the Tad Wood era begin...


Mar 25 2034: Do the North Florida Ospreys have their guy? - by ndray01 on September 19th, 2023

The Ospreys ended their search for team president with the hiring of former Nicholls State president ndray01. But this hiring is raising some eyebrows and deservingly so. While at Nicholls State, ndray01 failed to show up to team activities, which is a league violation per agreement. And led to the suspension and dismissal of ndray01.

This will undoubtedly have implications for the Ospreys’s ability to recruit. Some reports are suggesting that 3-star recruits will be reluctant to commit. Aided by the fact that ndray01 will have to find a new HC following HC-Ron Starkey’s retirement.

The North Florida Ospreys are in search of their first title and tournament bid since 2012. Time will tell if this was the right decision by team officials.
