The only thing that sticks out at me when looking at your depth chart is that your starting point guard is exhausted and your starting power forward is way too short.

I would rest and then cut minutes back for the PG and put Rossie in place of Ervin. Just because a player has the capitol letter PF in his profile does not mean that he should be playing there if another player has the height.

Ervin is underdeveloped and he is too short and that on my team puts him playing someplace else.

Thats what I see with out going too in-depth.

You're team is bad, and they aren't gonna turn anything around. You are rebuilding, so it is ok to lose.

Just looking at the Conference pages we see that you have the second worst eFG%, 50.1%, the worst turnover%, 19.9, and you're average in OeFG%.

To be more player-by-player

Connor Abercrombie
Looking at the stats he's decent but lacks BH to be a PG. With his Overwork, he has become unusable, he turns the ball over 4.6 times a game and relative to his usage it's 22% of the time he has the ball. He has a good eFG% to OeFG% which probably makes you think he's fine, but his turnovers are far too bad to use.

Gerald Barnes-
Better built for SF but works fine at SG. He's not showing much difference in 2s vs 3s so what he's at scoring-wise is fine.

Odell Faulkner-
Shorter SF and slow for his height, defending well and scoring is not terrible. Increase his 3 as his 2s are effective compared to them.

Charles Ervin-
Why, just why? Too short, Can't defend, Can't Rebound.

Arthur Chapman-
7-Footer but doesn't do anything outside of being tall, he's young so he does need time to develop but no rebounding, lack of developing scoring skills, and low defense hurts him. He just is not good enough to get any better production-wise this season.

Eric Rossi-
Young and tall, his defense isn't as bad due to getting those backup Center minutes against other bigs but his starting PF numbers aren't terrible, still negative but not terrible for his skill level.

Jeremiah Payne-
Walk-on filling out roster so I'm proud of whatever he puts up, he makes his 3s and plays decent D but the 2s are so bad that he should only shoot 3s, if he's already on "O" drop him to "--"

Summary of the major minutes guys
They aren't great talents, and the bigs are young and lacking development. Outside of the two young bigs you are too short, and some of these short guys are really slow.

How are we going to fix this?

PG Abercrombie 25 minutes "~" "o"
bPG Rodrigues 25 minutes "~" "i"

SG Barnes 30 minutes "++" "O"
bSG Rodrigues 25 minutes "~" "i"

SF Faulkner 25 "~" "O"
bSF Payne 15 "X" "O"

PF Rossi 30 "~" "I"
bPF Potts 20 "--" "I"

C Chapman 30 "+" "I"
bPF Potts 20 "--" "I"

Tactics
Pace "0"
Emphasis "o"
Zone "40"
Pressure "0"
Extend "+1"
Sub "whichever one you want"

Start with this and slowly adjust with what is working and not working from this moment forward.

excuse me for butting in here, but exactly what is EFG Percent? I take it from your post that the higher the number, the worse this percentage is? I've been at this game for quite a number of seasons now but there are still some things that I do not understand and since I cannot access the discord chat, I'm forced to voice my questions here. Thank you.

EFG is effective field goal percentage. Basically it's your FG% when weighted for 3pointers being more valuable than 2pointers. You want a higher %, because it means you are maximizing effiency.

On the other hand is Oefg. Which is Opponents effective FG%. Same thing but you want your opponent to have a lower number.

example for efg percent

say a user shot 5/10 on all twos
EFG percent would be 50%
say a player shot 5/10 but inside of those shots made 2 three pointers.
EFG would be 60% (same number of shots taken and made but more points scored)

quick mental math is add half the three points made to the field goals made and divide by total field goals attempted.

formula is:
(Field Goals Made + 0.5 * 3-Pointers Made) / Field Goal Attempts

good offense is will tend to have a higher eFG% and good defense will tend to cause lower OeFG% (opponent effective field goal percent)
